“Culture II” Album Review
Migos is hip hop group composed of three members Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. The trio comes from Atlanta and started making music since 2009.
The group recently released their new album Culture II that succeeds their other Culture. Culture was their second studio album and Culture II their third released almost a year after.
The single “Motorsport” ft. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B was released two months prior to the debut of Culture II giving us some insight on what to expect for the new album.
The album comprises a variety of other fellow hip hop and rap artists such as 2 Chainz, 21 Savage, Big Sean, Gucci Mane, and many other artists who appear on songs throughout the album. The album includes a total of 24 tracks that comes in a time stamp of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The songs that are for sure worth checking out are “Narcos”, “Walk It Talk It” ft. Drake, “Stir Fry”, “White Sand” ft. Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, and Big Sean, “MotorSport”, and “Notice Me” ft. Post Malone.
It could be argued that “all of the songs sound the same”, but this simply isn’t the case. Sure some songs may sound similar, but all of the tracks have a different and unique vibe going for it.
Overall, the trio put together a solid album that deserves to be listened to. Although it doesn’t surpass it’s other and better half Culture, it definitely comes close.
