Following in the steps of Juice WRLD, Trippie Redd, and Lil Uzi Vert, young rapper of 19, Jesus Honcho, released his breakout single “Infatuated” in 2018. The song received over a million plays on SoundCloud at it’s debut.

The song “Romeo and Juliet” featured on Trippie Redd’s album A Love Letter To You is the inspiration for why Honcho wrote the song. The theme of “Romeo and Juliet” is similar to the situation that Honcho talks about in his song, and his song is about two girls that Honcho dated in the past and how they made him feel.

Honcho sings in the chorus, “take you to heaven, I rock you and roll you like Zeppelin,” referencing one of his three favorite rock bands he mentions in the track. The beat of the song sounds almost like something you would hear in a Trippie Redd or Uzi song, but the vocals give you a Juice WRLD vibe. It’s decently upbeat with really distinct bass and unique music in the same way his influences’ songs are.

Honcho is on his way to proving that he is the real deal if he stays consistent with the success of “Infatuated”, and that shouldn’t be much of an issue because it’s a great song. The quality of the music will insist you to keep the song on repeat.
