“Pure Water” Single Review
The Migos made their collaboration comeback early this year with a song that spent five weeks on the Billboard’s Hot 100 list. The Atlanta trio had a very productive 2018 with Culture II and solo albums from Quavo and Takeoff. Bringing the group back together again, they released the new single, “Pure Water”, with record producer Mustard, Jan. 16, 2019.
All three members of the group had their time to shine along to the song’s pulsating beat. Quavo lays down the hook and Takeoff and Offset join in on their respective lines. The trio raps about the typical topic of money and women, and it’s music is minimal and wailing.
It’s a relief that they released something all together again. The solo albums that we received weren’t that exciting and were quickly forgotten. This track opened up a new window for the Migo’s style. It was a different vibe for the group. Hopefully, it gives us a glimpse for what is to come on Culture III in 2020.
