After we released the winter issue of our newspaper with a review over VB Chocolate Bar’s Hot Chocolate, we have received important news about the company.

In business for the past six and a half years, Cottleville’s VB Chocolate Bar is making some significant changes to their menu and café.

From the beginning, VB’s vision was to only serve coffee, chocolate, and cocktails, but over the years items have been added. Food and desserts were an unexpected change, and this was not part of the original plan which complicated things for the company.

VB has decided to go back to its roots and by the end of this month, the bar, kitchen, chocolate, and ice cream will no longer be available to customers.

VB will officially be changing its name to Upshot Coffee. VB will be closed for about a month to rebrand and remodel to the new name. Upshot Coffee will serve pressed juices, bone broth, and of course coffee with a few healthy quick grab items.

The decision to change to Upshot has been pressing the VB family for some time, so the change will happen this upcoming year.
