Girls Tennis Recap
Through rolled ankles, inflamed spines, and dislocated knees, girls tennis went 4-2-0 thus ending their season on an upswing. The team placed first in its division and made it to state.
The worst match was against Parkway Central. The score was 1-8-0.
“Parkway was really tough. They played really strong,” senior Lily Hudanick said.
Hudanick said their best game was their first tournament at Howell Central.
“Everyone got first in their division and the doubles team medaled or eighth,” Hudanick said.
The doubles team of seniors Becca Zile and Elise VanMatre was the only team to place at state. It medaled for eighth place.
According to Hudanick, the reason the team did so well this year was because of new Coach Lucian Biesiadecki.
“Lucian is really good. He got us to state,” Hudanick said.
“Coach was really strict, but he pushed us and that’s what made him a good coach,” sophomore Jessica Volmer said.
