Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Signed with EP Entertainment and Def Jam Recordings in 2014, Cara released her break out single “Here” which kicked off her career. From there, she has been making chart popular music.

Cara’s music style could be described as alternative R&B with a touch of pop and soul. A single written completely by Cara, “Growing Pains” definitely shows the pop side of her music. Basically, the song is about the pains of growing up accompanied by a rhythmic and ecstatic sound. It constructs a teen relatable song with amazing music to go with it.
