Nathan Muser

During his freshman year, sophomore Nathan Muser decided that he wanted to try a new sport. He joined track and practiced in many different events to see which he liked best. Eventually, he decided that he wanted to be a pole vaulter.

“I really like pole vaulting because you have to perfect your technique,” Muser said. “If your form is just a little bit off it can take several inches or even feet off of how high you can vault.”

Nathan also wrestles during the winter sports season.

“Although the two sports seem different, wrestling and pole vaulting are very similar,” Muser said. “In both sports I really have work on my technique and be always be focused on what I am doing.’
