The final day for seniors is here; though we are sad to see them leave it’s important to remember they’re moving on towards brighter futures.
Graduating from Spotlight Newspaper are our seniors Taylor Mallett, Ali Thuet, Nate Eaton, Makayla Clark and Lilly Caby. They have all created such amazing memories for the rest of the staff and a lasting impression on Howell’s publications as a whole. The Spotlight staff wants you to know, seniors, just what you have done for all of us. Here are some words to take with you.
“The seniors in newspaper this year were always so kind and helpful. They made it a really welcoming environment and I really appreciated that.” – Val Rodriguez
“Ali and Taylor were so patient and helped me so much at the beginning of the year as a new staffer and with learning photography. Nate could always make you laugh and was so fun to work with. I admire Lilly for her creativity and how she welcomed everybody with love and open arms, was always willing to help, and brought such a positive energy to the staff. Makayla is such a good reporter and you can always count on her for help and was an amazing role model.” – Emma Shulters
“I had a great time at this year’s newspaper convention and Taylor made that experience even more enjoyable and special than I thought. She took pictures for me and my other classmates and I got to learn more about what an amazing and outstanding person she is. I learned we have more in common than I expected and she never failed to make us all smile and laugh.” – Aliza Farooqui
“I have nothing but great things to say about the graduating seniors of the Spotlight staff, they are all such wonderful people, and I have sincerely enjoyed each and every moment that we have gotten to spend together working on the paper and making lasting memories. I know that they are all going to do amazing things after graduation and can’t wait to see everything that they accomplish.” – Ashlyn Richmiller
“I have really enjoyed working with each of the seniors on this year’s Spotlight staff. Taylor, Ali, Lilly, Makayla, and Nate – you each brought so much positive energy to newspaper and helped create a sense of community on staff. I’m very proud of everything you accomplished this year and look forward to seeing what you do in the future. Good luck next year!” – Mrs. Wayne
