“I was in high school when Columbine happened and it feels like my entire life, I’ve watched how we handle gun violence in schools, and the ways that it has changed, and the way that the number of events have gone up to the point that when I was going through school, I never felt unsafe at school. And I think that’s something that a lot of people, especially the kids who were in school at that age, watching that change has really shaped how we feel about it.”
