Wearing name brands like Gucci or Louis Vuitton is not something this school sees often. These brands are expensive and a leisure item. Sophomore Shawn Tillotson, however, breaks the barriers and wears these expensive items to school almost everyday.

“Gucci is something different, not a lot of people own it. I wear it to stand out and be different,” Tillotson said.

These items were not cheap, either. Most celebrities wear Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Aside from standing out they also represent a social status.

“When I saw rappers with designer clothing it made me want to get it too. I saw how successful they were and wanted to be successful and buy nice things too,” Tillotson said.

Rappers are known to show off their cash by buying nice cars, big homes, expensive shoes, and name brand clothing. This helps show their success in the music world. Tillotson wanted to portray his success through Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

“Each Gucci belt I own was $400.00 and my Louis Vuitton bracelet was $315.00,” Tillotson said.

Not many sophomores in high school own that type of money. Hard work and determination bought those items. Tillotson is proud of his hard work and likes to show it off through designer items.

“Designer clothing, like Gucci and Louis Vuitton, are original and wearing it makes me feel unique,” Tillotson said.

Tillotson definitely stands out and looks unique with his name brand accessories.
