Cross Country Recap
After hundreds of miles ran, countless hours devoted, and bitter rivals crushed, the cross country team considered its season a success.
The team ran 300 miles for training over the summer, and another 250 to 300 during the season.
“In the GACs, I placed 31st. There were 70 or 80 people competing,” junior Blake Panagos said.
Ft. Zumwalt, Francis Howell, Holt, and Troy schools competed, with Howell taking first for the first time in eight years.
Cross Country was more than just running and training, though.
“Make sure you have fun,” Panagos said. “It’s a sport. You’re supposed to play the sport and enjoy it.”
