Varsity girls volleyball made it to the state Elite Eight, but couldn’t get past the quarter final play.

“Our greatest achievement was beating St. Dominic to win districts,” senior Abbey Witter said. “We struggled with playing for each other instead of playing for ourselves.”

Howell had beat St. Dominic in round three, meaning they continued into the post season play.

Howell won the first round of sectionals against Pattonville, and went to play Eureka in a match that determined who went to state final four. Eureka sent Howell home.

“This was by far my favorite group of teammates I have ever had,” Witter said. “ I’m so proud of our team and how far we went through the adversity we had.”

Girls volleyball ended the season with a record of 28-9-1.
