Limelight Theatre’s New Production “The Crucible”

On Friday, Nov. 2, to Sunday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m, the theater program will be presenting The Crucible. The Limelight Theatre produces two to three productions a year.

The Crucible is based on the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. The lead roles are senior Joey Montgomery as John Proctor, and junior Kennedy Lindauer as Abigail Williams.

“Memorizing the lines with all the tough language is the hardest part about preparing for The Crucible,” Montgomery said.

“Getting into character is the hardest because you have to experience a different lifestyle,” Lindauer said. “You have to rely on everyone else to learn their lines too.”

The Drama Club holds rehearsals multiple times a week with tech week before the performance.

“There’s a week before the play called tech week where we have rehearsal everyday,” freshman Mallory Abshear said.

“We’ve worked really hard and it’d be very cool for people to come and see it,” freshman Izzy Luca said.
