Girls varsity lacrosse ready to face Pattonville
In preparation for the game on April 4 against Pattonville, the girls varsity lacrosse team is practicing hard, determined to redeem themselves from a challenging previous season.
New coach Lauren Ginn has many goals for a successful season on the field.
“I like to challenge the players in practice with real game like scenarios,” Ginn said. “We also look at how well we performed during previous games to create a strong plan for the next game.”
The players feel prepared.
“We started practicing on the turf to see what games would be like,” senior Sammie Markus said. “We have a new coach and a new group of girls, but there’s a very positive atmosphere this year and already see improvements.”
“We’re going to prove that Howell is here to play,” senior Tara Clement said. “We’re not messing around.”
