Junior Erin Jones made a picture-perfect impression Wednesday when her friends opened Snapchat and saw her own custom “geo filter”. Jones made the filter Tuesday night, after wanting to do something like it for many years.

“I wanted to do something iconic,” Jones said, “and no one has done this yet. I did it and I didn’t tell anyone so when my friends opened Snapchat, they would be surprised”.

Although Jones paid for only one day, the $37 “geofilter” will last years in Jones’s- and her friends’- memories.

“I was surprised to see the filter, but it’s typical of Erin to do something like this,” junior Beverly Stewart said. “I’m not surprised at the reaction either, because Erin has so many friends. My friends and I are wanting to make one now”.
