Make A Wish club takes off
Junior begins a new club, Make a Wish
Junior Katya Gehrin decided that she wanted to give back. She gathered some friends and started the Make a Wish Club.
“I had this rare disease when I was younger, so I had the opportunity to make a wish through Make a Wish,” Gehrin said. “I wasn’t in any other club, so I thought it would be cool to start this.”
The club plans to have various fundraisers throughout the year to donate the money to Make a Wish.
“I went to talk to Mrs. Reed because I know she sponsors a lot of clubs. Then I went to talk to Erwin and he thought it would be a great idea. Lots of the other kids enjoy it because they were part of Make a Wish too.”
The clubs meets Wednesdays before school in Mrs. Reeds room, D003.
