Consisting of a trio of artists from Atlanta, “Migos” released an album labeled “Culture”, Jan. 27. Hits include “T-Shirt” and “Culture” which redeemed the artist of a dry-spell from their 2015 album, “Yung Rich Nation”. The artists introduced cultural references including “the dab” and a handful of slang terms. Migos initially got fans hyped for the album by releasing “Bad and Boujee” prior, which also revived the cultural term “boujee”. The album is also unique in that it features a variety of already-popular rappers like Lil Uzi Vert, DJ Khaled, Gucci Mane, and 2 Chainz. Culture definitely redeems the artists’ names and revives them from their two year creative dry spell with a 58 minute modern mix.
