Freshman Soccer wins the Howell Central Tournament title
Freshman beat Central in the final game, 2-1.
The championship match against Howell Central took place at Howell Central, Sept. 19. In the fifteenth minute of the second half of the the game, sophomore Jared Cessac scored a goal to put the freshman boy’s soccer team up 2-1 to win the Howell Central tournament.
“It felt great to beat Howell Central in their own tournament especially because they are our rivals,” Cessac said. “I felt great to score, but I knew we would have to defend our lead and work hard the rest of the game.”
“This team has had some of the greatest plays and runs to goal I have seen in all my years coaching freshman soccer.” coach Brady Demling said.
The team’s next game is Oct. 4 against Ft. Zumwalt West at Highway K.
