Senior Bridget Schulte took first place in GAC’s Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Woods Fort Golf Course in Troy, MO. Winning by one stroke against an opponent from Timberland High School, Schulte shot 81 by landing a birdie on the last hole.

“I started off rough but around the ninth hole my golfing started to improve”, said Schulte. “This taught me to not doubt myself when things go bad. They can always turn for the better.”

Bridget practices at least 20 hours a week, 15 of them practicing after school for three hours everyday with her team, and the rest playing with her dad. Although not sure on where she wants to go, she plans on continuing her skill in college. After gaining first place in this important conference, colleges are sure to be on her side.
