As many students spent time avoiding the heat this summer, the marching band was out practicing for their show. Everyday that went by, was a day closer to showing off all their hard work. Aug. 26 was finally the day to reveal their masterpiece at Francis Howell North in the FHSD preview.

“It was really exciting to see what we have accomplished and to see the other bands with their shows,” Senior Zachary Lewis said.

The show theme focuses around Greek mythology and is called

Journey of the Fallen.

“The show is about the story of the fallen and the journey back to their home. The show is a narrative which is shown in our visuals,” Lewis said.

Junior Darcy Skillington said the show has great potential this season.

“I think great things can happen but it depends if everyone performs to their best, so that our instructor can critique our weaknesses,” Skillington said.
