A new face to Howell is freshman Trace Watkins. Watkins was introduced into music a couple years ago by his father, and went through multiple instruments before he found the perfect fit; the bass guitar.

“I honestly couldn’t tell you why I chose it, but the main reason was because it was the easiest to play,” Watkins said.

His father plays the guitar as well.

“My dad plays the guitar, so it’s kinda fun being a to share the same passion with someone close to you,” Watkins said.

While he’s not trying to hit the right note, he is playing video games, and hanging out with his friends.
