Science Teacher Dane Williamson Takes Over As Head Coach for Cross Country
As the track season continues, Dane Williamson, assistant track and cross country coach, became the head coach of the team, Wednesday, Apr. 20.
“I am still adjusting to it,” he said. “Sometimes it can be overwhelming. Although the kids are great, and parents are great, and they make it much easier.”
Under new leadership, a few changes occured.
“My main goal is to treat everyone fairly,” Mr. Williamson said. “With the help of assistant coaches we are going to work on improving the skills of the athletes.”
As the season goes, the expectation for the team are still the same. The goal is to get as many people to go to state level competition as possible.
“We want them to do their best,” Mr. Williamson said.
