How to Prepare for Finals
With the end of the year right around the corner, students are beginning to prepare for finals. Here are the top five tips to use to succeed during finals week:
- Make time to study: Though students may still be busy with normal schoolwork, it is important to make time outside of school to study for finals. It’s also essential to study for the classes that are the hardest first, as well as for the finals that students will take first.
- Make a study schedule: It is important to make a schedule of which finals to study on what days so students are not stuck studying for all of their finals in one day.
- Take notes and finish study guides: Many classes prepare for finals in class and give out study guides. Though it can be tempting not to finish the study guides if they are not for points, they are an extremely helpful study tool.
- Get a good night’s sleep the night before: Without this, it will be hard to concentrate on early morning finals.
- Eat a good breakfast the day of finals: Without any fuel before finals, it will be difficult to concentrate with a noisy and hungry stomach.
Finals will begin May 17 with hours 1, 2, and 7, and will continue until May 19.
