Super Bowl Recap
After a long season, the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers played for Super Bowl 50. The game started off with a bang as left outside Linebacker Von Miller came screaming in off the edge to not only strip-sack Cam Newton, but also allow another Bronco to fall on top of the ball in the endzone, giving the Broncos a 10-0 lead. This really changed the momentum of the game as it set the tone that the Broncos would be sending pressure early and often. The Broncos then tacked on another two field goals to strengthen their lead. It wasn’t until the end of the first half that the panthers got a touchdown. Earlier in the game, Panthers Kicker Graham Gano missed a field goal, but the Broncos were able to get the ball right back as Kony Ealy, a Defensive end for the panthers, picked manning off. At this point in the game, the momentum was swinging towards the panthers side, but it happened again Miller came in off the edge, stripped Newton, and the Broncos recovered. The Broncos ended up holding on to their lead to give them their 3rd Super Bowl win, and giving Peyton Manning a memorable ending to his career.
