Fire Alarm Interrupts Passing Period, Feb. 5
Due to a spike in the water pressure outside of the building, the fire alarm was triggered during passing period before 4B. After a successful evacuation, students were able to return to classes after nearly 30 minutes outside.
“When the pressure spike came into our building, there was a series of precautions set off to make sure the sprinkler systems and water systems were all working perfectly,” Principal Dave Wedlock announced after students returned to class. “Those alarms then triggered our fire alarms, but at no time was there any safety concern in the building.”
Teachers were promptly emailed a new bell schedule, which explained that only 4B would be cut short.
“We will also be sending a note out to parents,” Wedlock said. “Thank you to everyone for being so awesome during the drill.”
