Pastaria Restaurant Review
Pastaria is an Italian pasta and pizza restaurant that provides a trendy atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant is open seven days a week, however, the hours vary. It is located in Forsyth Boulevard in Clayton.
The complementary bread is to die for. Giant loaves are constantly being brought out from the kitchen with visible steam rising from the top. The slices are large with a soft warm middle yet crunchy around the sides. On the table, there is a variety of dipping sauces for the bread along with olive oil, chipotle oil, parmesan cheese, pepper, and salt.
As for the main course, there is no way to go wrong. The Canestri Cacio e Pepe is a tasty dish with fluffy pasta coated in creamy white sauce and spicy black pepper. However, if you’re craving red sauce the Lasagna with braised kale, pork sausage, mozzarella, béchamel, and chilli tomato sauce is piled with a sweet, refreshing, flavor.
In addition to pasta, Pastaria also serves gourmet pizza. I recommend the Hawaiian topped with tomato, mozzarella, jalapeno, pineapple, house-made Canadian bacon. The ingredients work wonderfully together and the pizza comes out steaming hot. As for the crust, it is deliciously soft while still being a thin crust.
If after all of this food there is any room in your stomach left for dessert, I wholeheartedly recommend the chocolate tart. The tart is small, however, incredibly rich with a mouthwatering dark chocolate flavor.
The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive giving us refill after refill of our drinks. In addition, they were very accommodating when it took a while to get our pizza and they gave us a dessert for free.
Overall, the food is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. I recommend Pastaria for any occasion.
