Jan. 9, JV and Varsity Golden Girls competed in the annual Chicagoland competition in Chicago, IL. JV received fifth in jazz, fourth in pom, and second in hip-hop, while Varsity received third place in both hip-hop and jazz. Overall, JV and Varsity received the sportsmanship award.

“Our placements were great, but I’m more proud of how we felt after we finished,” senior Kiersten Pruitt said. “It exceeded my expectations.”

Varsity Golden Girls will compete in Nationals Jan. 29-31 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
