Boys Varsity Soccer Wins State, Nov. 14.

November 14, Howell boy’s varsity soccer competed against DeSmet for their first state championship ever. Going into the game Howell had a record of 19-7-1, and DeSmet had a record of 22-7-1. Howell started with a goal scored outside the box 34 min in by sophomore Caden Castello

“It’s what I dreamed of in my high school career, and I’m only a sophomore,” Castello said.

Howell was able to hang on to the lead despite multiple goal scoring opportunities from DeSmet. Howell recorded only 4 shots on goal while DeSmet had 24 shots on goal.

Senior goal keeper Matt Hunt recorded his 5th shutout of the season, and ended his high school career with a State Championship.
