With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Student Council will conduct a canned food drive Nov. 16-20. The drive will benefit the OASIS Food Pantry, which has been serving St. Louis area since 1990.
The second hour classes that collect the most cans will receive a free Bread Company Breakfast. Every 25 cans brought together will enter the class into a drawing for a breakfast, too. To prevent students from bringing in multitudes of Raman Noodle packages, two packages of the salty snack equal one can.
“We have been having this can drive for at least nine years,” Student Council sponsor Katherine Bange said. “The goal is to collect a few thousand cans, and I don’t doubt our ability to do so.”
