Putting pinch pots whistles, coil pots, and clay figurines into the kiln, ceramics teacher Angela Turigliatto gets ready for the first fire of the year. “I’m excited because it’s our first opportunity to see if the techniques we have learned were applied correctly. Plus, it means we are one step closer to blazing,” Turigliatto said. Firing the kilns is a 24 hour process. All four kilns will be needed for the many upcoming events and projects in sculpting, ceramics, and ceramics club.
