Remember. With a new senior class taking on the world each year after graduation, it’s difficult to distinguish one from the next. The challenge is: how can a particular class be remembered?
The 2016 Senior Class Officers have been crafting what they hope to be a remembrance: the class motto.
“It’s a phrase or a quote that is meant to represent our class, which is certainly not an easy thing to do,” Senior Class Secretary Evan Johnson said.
Each senior class creates their own unique motto.
“It can embody everything we’ve experienced together over the past 13 years of school, or it can focus on our potential as we close this chapter of our life and open a new one, heading into a brave new world. We want to get something that really embodies our class.”
Johnson kept this in mind when coming up with his ideas.
“The one I’ve had the best responses to is “May the dreams we dream be the future we find,” Johnson said
The Senior Class Officers have been discussing the class motto the past few weeks.
“We haven’t actually decided on it yet,” Johnson said. “At our meeting [September 3], I was the only one who had come up with any ideas.”
The Officers will choose the quote officially next week.
