Q: Where was your previous position?
A: I worked for Iberia, MO as the Superintendent of about 900 kids, so it was definitely a smaller school setting than this.
Q: Why did you relocate to St. Louis?
A: I was at my previous position for two years, but my family stayed in Festus, MO. I wanted to see my kids more often than I do; we’re eventually moving back to the St. Charles area.
Q: What are your thoughts on Howell so far?
A: It’s awesome! I’m very impressed with the students and staff. They all “get it,” you know? They all understand how to run a school.
Q: What are you excited to accomplish at Howell?
A: I’m looking forward to a simple transition. This position needs stability, and I want to be known as the person that cares and helps in the school.
Q: How do you hope to establish relationships with the students?
A: People are guarded still, and they need consistency. I’m hoping that basic daily interactions will build relationships in itself. I’m older than a lot of your staff and administration, so maybe I’ll become the man that answers all of the questions with wisdom. Also, I used to be heavy into coaching sports. I love activities and athletics, and I’m excited for the fall season to get underway and meet the athletes.
