Students recently auditioned for the Metro 8 District Honors Choir. About 290 area students audition for the Honors Choir, but only a total of 160 students actually get in. Eighteen Howell students auditioned and nine were accepted. These nine students are Rebekah Anthonis, Erin Hediger, Jenna Hutfless, Elise Kaminski, Madi Jackson, Alexandra Janssen, Sarah Mason, Jenny Moreno, Emmy Robertson, and Allison Schult. Along with nine students being selected for the Honors Choir, seven students including Hediger, Hutfless, Kaminski, Jannsen, Mason, Moreno, Robertson, and Schult scored high enough to be eligible to audition for the Missouri All-State Choir.
