The Varsity boys basketball team took 8th place this past weekend in the People’s Bank tournament to start off their season.
“We’ve only had two practices and for those two practices, we haven’t even had our whole entire team there because of football,” sophomore Murphy Hamer said.
The boys plan to step up their game and prepare for the season with these upcoming practices.
“I was disappointed in how we played, but we had very few practices to actually work on stuff. We have another two full weeks of practice until our next game. We all plan to work hard and make ourselves better by then,” senior Austin Gates said.
The boys viewed it as a learning experience.
“We really came together as a team at the end. It was a good learning experience for us,” senior Alex Hepburn said.
