Ten Ways to Spice Up Your Pumpkin Carving Routine

 Carving pumpkins seems to be one of the followed traditions of fall. Apart from the ordinary way of carving pumpkins, the options are endless if you let your mind create ways to decorate pumpkins.
1.   Carve Them.
You can never go wrong with the traditional way of carving pumpkins, being sure not only for you to be pleased with the outcome, but those around you.
2.   Paint Them.
Polka dots and stripes seem to be a never failing popular design. Why 
not take your favorite colors and paint your pumpkin.
3.   Bejewel Them.
Sparkles. Bling. Attention. That’s what any pumpkin will read when 
covered in sparkles. A fun way to add some pizazz to an ordinary orange pumpkin.
4.   Crayon Them.
The popular art of using a canvas and blow drying crayons so they 
drip down and create a masterpiece is exactly what can be done on a pumpkin 
starting at the stem and letting it drip down into a colorful explosion.
5.   Glitter Them.
Glitter seems to be a trend right now, and what better way to add some 
pops of color then rolling your pumpkin in a mess of glitter. It is sure to add some 
sparkle and flare to any pumpkin.
6.   Stencil Them.
A sophisticated, timeless way to paint a pumpkin is to stencil on a 
design and then paint it in festive fall colors.
7.   Ribbon Them.
Find some cheap ribbon at a local craft store, tie it around the stem for 
an easy decoration or loop it around the whole pumpkin.
8.   Etch Them.
Monogram your initials in your pumpkin or your house number and 
display it on your front porch.
9.   Tack Them.
Make designs with tacks that go in your pumpkin. Anything from a 
straight line to an intricate paisley design on your pumpkin.
10. Cookie Cutter Them.
Take your favorite cookie cutters and use a hammer to
hammer the cookie cutter into the pumpkin. Place a light in it and you have a perfectly cut out and lit pumpkin.
…..with all the fun involved in carving pumpkins, the most important part of it all is the delicious pumpkin seeds to bake from the pumpkin. Toss them in some melted butter, salt, or even garlic and bake them in the oven until they are crispy. A yummy snack to eat as you spice up your pumpkin.
