Dark, shadowing clouds covered the field. But, despite severe thunderstorm warnings and weather delays, the Vikings persevered to a win on the Friday, Sept. 7,  homecoming football game.

The team defeated Pokies the Fort Zumwalt East Lions with a final score of 14-0, and only a half an hour game delay. The game began at 7:30pm, as opposed to the intended 7pm start time.
