Tuesday afternoon, Principal Dave Wedlock issued the following statement via enews:
“It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Mr. Kevin Fischer, an industrial technology and physical education teacher who taught woodworking, architecture, engineering, and team sports at Francis Howell High School, has unexpectedly passed away. Mr. Fischer had joined the Francis Howell family as a new teacher this year.

Counselors will be on site tomorrow at Francis Howell High to provide support to students and staff to help deal with this sudden loss and address their concerns. During this difficult time, the most important thing we can do is to be supportive, to encourage discussion, and to be good listeners.

The Francis Howell community is deeply saddened by this loss and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family.”
