The Varsity Golden Girls placed second in the large varsity hip-hop 2012 National Dance Team Championships, administered by the Universal Dance Association. The team also placed 12th in the large varsity jazz category  The team competed Sun., Feb. 5 in Florida.

The JV Golden Girls placed seventh in junior varsity pom and were semi-finalists in the junior varsity hip-hop category.

The teams had to qualify to compete nationally.

The National Dance Team Championships are the only national-level championships endorsed by the National Federation of State High School Associations.
