The 2011 Howelltonian yearbook received its first Crown Finalist award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA).

According to CSPA “a total of 1,351 newspapers, magazines and yearbooks” were eligible for Crown Award judging.

The Howelltonian was one of 66 high school yearbooks designated as a crown finalist.

The Howelltonian will receive either a Gold or Silver Crown award at the CSPA Spring Convention. The award ceremony will be held at Columbia University in New York City.

This is the Howelltonian‘s first placement as a Crown Finalist.
