Choir continues holiday tradition

Choir continues holiday tradition
The commons was transformed into a Medieval getaway Dec. 9 and Dec. 10, as the choir programs held their annual Madrigal dinner fundraiser.Members of chamber, concert, and treble choir dressed in traditional Medieval costumes, performed music, and sold items as guests were served a three course meal.

“It is a night I have experienced many times,” senior Dan Mercer said. “I would say this particular one came up to par.”

For some, playing a character required more than just the typical costume. Chamber member Ashley Unland painted her full face, in order to embrace her character of “the jester”.

“It was really fun to tell jokes and mess with people. We raised a lot of money that can be used towards new robes for choir,” Unland said.

The choir members boasted traditional British accents, to contribute to the mood.

“My experience was very good. People were very kind and generous. The backdrop made me feel like I was in Medieval time,” sophomore Alex Frtizius said.
