Seven stages, all simmering with speakers ready to go full blast. I spent Aug. 3 under the hot and sticky sun at Warped Tour, constantly on the move running from one stage to another or waiting in line for a band signing.
At times it would come down to picking between sets and signings. In all the chaos, staying hydrated became a priority, but $3 for a bottle of water was outrageous. However, in order to stay on the move and have a good time, it was completely necessary.
Because of my role for yearbook, I had photo credentials. With that I was up close and personal with the bands, taking photos.
It was a totally different take on things, being able to enjoy the music while looking through the lens.
My favorite set was Family Force 5. They had so much energy, which attributed to a fun, fan-involved set with a lot the jumping. With all the photo taking, singing and interviewing, overall I would say it was a great day.
