Preparation for the Oct. 1 homecoming dance has already begun at Howell.

Students have already begun putting together groups, making reservations, and preparing for the night, which includes shopping.

The Varsity Golden Girls are hosting a Sept. 11 fundraiser at the Charming Charlies in The Meadows in Lake St. Louis. Students who attend the 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. event must pay $5 for admission at the door. Shoppers will get 20% off of their bill.

Students interested in being on the homecoming court should stop by English teacher Jessie Altman’s room, D130, or History teacher Katie Bange’s room, B120, to pick up an application. Applications are due Sept. 14 by the end of the day.

Those planning to attend homecoming must pay all fines before purchasing a dance ticket.

Ticket sales begin Sept. 21.
