The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) made repairs to the stoplight at Hwy. 94 and D. Aug. 16, to allow more cars to cycle through the light.
Both students and buses have been stuck in traffic at 7:20 a.m., the time when school begins. The 2011-2012 school year marks the beginning of the new five-minute-earlier day.
In a FHHStoday.com poll asking, “Have you have any issues getting to school on time the first week?”, a total of 14 students as of Aug. 17 said that they never arrived on time or starting earlier kept them from arriving on time.
According to the Francis Howell High School Facebook page, MoDOT hopes that the repair to the stoplight will ease traffic flow.
