Cheers, culture and cold-hard competition filled the gym as volleyball teams from all three foreign language programs competed in the annual Foreign Language Volleyball tournament the night of March 8.

Taking home the trophy for the third consecutive year was the Spanish department with a first place finish. While in previous years only Spanish teams had made it to the semi-finals, both the French and German teams were included with the German team finishing second and the French team finishing third.

“It was a banner year for the other languages because the tournament is usually dominated by the numerous Spanish teams. We worked hard and can’t wait to make our attempt at the title next year,” French teacher Susan Schneidenbach said.
