Student Council will hold its third event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Monday, March 7 at 6:30 pm in the large gym. Each year STUCO pairs with St. Jude in order to raise money to help kids fight cancer; the event is free and participation is easy. There will be food, music, attendance prizes, free t-shirts, and head shavings.
Principal Chris Greiner offered to shave his head if the school raised $2,500 in the penny wars between first hour classes. The penny war ended Friday, March 4 with a total reaching $3,035.82. Five teachers plus Dr. Greiner have offered up their locks of hair for the cause, including SPED teacher Christa Schneider and history teacher Mark Henley. Locks of love will also be attending the event.
The event is free and comes with a t-shirt, Team Up for St. Jude with STUCO in the large gym.
