Football suffers heartbreak at Homecoming

On Sept. 24, the Vikings battled football powerhouse Christian Brothers College (CBC) and suffered their first loss of the season, breaking a four game winning streak.

“We lost because we turned the ball over 5 times, including three in the red zone” said varsity head coach Bryan Koch.

Though they couldn’t turn out the win in the end, the team had 521 yards of offense and scored five touchdowns to bring the final score to 45-31. As the boys lost the game, they were overwhelmed with tears.

“This is a set back, but in the focus of our season it has absolutely no impact,” Koch said. “We are still on track to meet all of our season goal.”
