I’m writing to let you know about a situation that occurred today.
At about noon, a car with two individuals entered the south side of the campus and did not stop at the security checkpoint. Security proceeded to the car and found the individuals had left the car and at that time noticed a gun and hunting gear in the backseat. Administration was immediately notified and the school went into lockdown. A 911 call was placed and local law enforcement responded. At this time the individuals have been apprehended, and the school is out of lockdown. The afternoon schedule has resumed. Law enforcement is investigating the incident.
As always, the safety and security of our students is our top priority.
