Howell will get the chance to see a partial solar eclipse on Monday, Apr. 8 from approximately 1:56-2:00 pm, seven years after a total solar eclipse.
“I think it is a really cool experience because I got to experience it in sixth grade and I think it’s cool I get to experience it again in my senior year,” senior Jordyn Burbes said.
Students will be shown a video about the eclipse by their 7th hour teachers and provided with safety glasses before moving to the football field to view the eclipse at its fullest.
“I’m excited to see how it’s different from a total eclipse, because I really enjoyed that one,” Science teacher Brianna Jordan said, “I think we’ll still be able to see a little bit of the sunlight if there’s a cloud there.”
