Girls Golf Competes At State
Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 17-18, five girls, Brooke Inchiostro, 11, Brooke Lewis, 11, Hannah Mottert, 10, Jordyn Campbell, 10, Ellie Garavaglia, 12, from varsity golf competed in the MSHSAA State Championships. This competition was held in Joplin, Missouri. They were one of the only eight teams contending for a state title.
“I was so happy that we made it to state. All of our hard work that we put in on the off-season really showed,” sophomore Jordyn Campbell said.
The team made it to the final four, finishing fourth overall. This is the second final-four finish in the girl’s golf program history.
“It felt great getting fourth. We were playing in tough conditions and weather but our team really pulled through to take home some hardware and to top off a great, successful season,” sophomore Hannah Mottert said.
