Varsity baseball finishes third at state
After falling to Liberty North 4-3 in state semifinals, the Vikings beat Lindbergh 11-0 for a third place finish, June 4. It was the Vikings’ 12th appearance at state semifinals.
“It was tough to lose in that close of a game in the semifinals, but it was good to end on a win,” junior Brady Wilson said. “I feel bad for losing to Liberty North, but I’m still happy we put up a great fight against them and didn’t quit.”
The seven seniors graduated separately from the rest of their class because they missed the actual graduation ceremony. The seniors graduated, June 2 in the auditorium with the coaches, managers, and the rest of the team in attendance.
